Anti-plagiarism Policy

The Development Management journal only accepts original materials that have not been previously published. To ensure high standards of academic integrity, the editorial team uses specialised software to check the submitted manuscripts for plagiarism.

Plagiarism in scientific publications
The editorial team considers plagiarism in scientific publications a violation of professional norms and the ethics of interaction between authors, reviewers, editors, publishers, and readers, which contradicts the core principles of publication ethics.

Originality check
All submitted manuscripts are checked for text similarity using the iThenticate software, which analyses materials for plagiarism both in local databases and online.
The manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated based on the following criteria:
  1. 1. Originality over 85% – the material is accepted for review.
  2. 2. Originality from 75% to 85% – the author needs to verify the correct formatting of citations and references to used sources.
  3. 3. Originality below 75% – such material will not be accepted for review.
Additionally, plagiarism from one source must not exceed 3%.

Actions in case of plagiarism after publication
If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Editorial Board will conduct a thorough analysis of the situation. The editorial team will contact the author to clarify the circumstances of the violation. If the violation of publication ethics, particularly plagiarism, is confirmed, the article may be retracted from the journal.
