Conflict of Interest

The journal aims to ensure transparency and impartiality in the publication process, so all authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. This policy is designed to prevent any influence of conflicts of interest on the research results and decision-making regarding publications.

Conflicts of interest for authors
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest when submitting their article. This includes both financial (employment, fees, participation in companies, patents) and non-financial (personal relationships, academic rivalry, ideological or religious beliefs) conflicts. All conflicts must be clearly stated so that readers can assess whether they have influenced the work. At the end of the article, the statement “Conflict of Interest” or “None” will be provided if no conflicts exist.

Conflicts of interest for reviewers
Reviewers are required to declare any conflicts of interest that may affect their objectivity when assessing the article. They must inform the editorial team if:
  • They have financial or personal ties to the author(s) or organisations involved in the research.
  • There is competition between their own research and the article they are reviewing.
  • They have a personal interest (friendship, rivalry, etc.) that could affect their evaluation.
In case of a conflict of interest, the reviewer must decline to review the article.

Conflicts of interest for editors
Editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect their ability to make impartial decisions regarding publications. The editor must recuse themselves from handling articles in the following cases:
  • They have financial, personal, or academic ties with the author(s) or the organisation, which could lead to a conflict of interest.
  • They are a co-author of the article or work at the same institution as the author(s).
  • Their involvement in the process could be perceived as biased.
In such cases, the editor will transfer the article to another editor or consult an independent expert.

Transparency and accountability
The journal ensures full transparency in disclosing conflicts of interest by publishing the relevant statements at the end of each article. All participants in the publication process (authors, reviewers, editors) must adhere to this policy to ensure the integrity and impartiality of scientific publications.
